A Journey Through Time on the Heritage Trail
On 12 March, our Primary 4 students and teachers embarked on an immersive "time-traveling" exploration of the Central and Western District Heritage Trail. This hands-on experience allowed our young historians to bridge the gap between textbooks and real-world monuments. By observing "red bricks and green tiles" up close, students nurtured a deep appreciation for Hong Kong’s cultural heritage and community history, turning the city streets into a vibrant classroom.

Unleashing Potential and Sportsmanship
The Annual Sports Day was successfully held on 24 February at Sheung Shui Sports Ground. Under pleasant sunshine, students embraced challenges, with several breaking school records. Beyond the tracks, we witnessed the true Gigamind spirit: students cheering for one another and demonstrating inquiry through collaborative engagement. We are grateful for our 45 parent volunteers whose support fosters the supportive, community-oriented atmosphere essential for nurturing every child's unique potential.

Our Prefect Team’s Empowering Day Camp
On Thursday, 12 February, our Prefect Team concluded their training with an exhilarating day camp at Wu Kai Sha Youth Village! From in-school workshops focused on "expression superpowers" to outdoor challenges like low rope courses, students practiced vital collaboration and inquiry skills. Reunion and Chinese Culture Day
On 11 February, our auditorium transformed into a festive hub as the Gigamind community gathered for Reunion and Chinese Culture Day. To welcome the Year of the Horse, students engaged in hands-on traditions like making tangyuan and enjoying cultural booth games. This collaborative event, supported by our wonderful parent volunteers, nurtured both character and a sense of belonging. We concluded with New Year stories and a joyful visit from the God of Wealth!.

Explorers Uncover the Science of Climate Change
Our P2 students recently visited the Jockey Club Museum of Climate Change at CUHK to engage in hands-on scientific discovery. Through interactive games and exploring the "Xue Long" research vessel, students deepened their inquiry into global warming. Following the tour, a scenic walk around Lake Ad Excellentiam allowed them to observe local biodiversity firsthand. This immersive experience perfectly nurtured our students' curiosity and passion for understanding the world around them.

Bridging Generations with Joy and Music
This Wednesday, our P5 and P6 students visited an elderly centre to share companionship and festive cheer. Organized by the PTA, the event showcased our students' enthusiasm as they performed New Year songs, rehearsed during their own lunch breaks. Through collaborative games and crafting Chinese ornaments, students and seniors built warm connections. This meaningful experience nurtured our students’ hearts, fostering a compassionate community across generations.

On a Wednesday, our campus buzzed with laughter as young anchors took the stage for our "School News Broadcast." From art room highlights to "kindness relays," students showcased their multiple intelligences. The warmest moments were the unscripted "bloopers"—sincere expressions that we believe deserve to be heard. More than a broadcast, this was a lesson in courage and collaboration, proving that every child’s voice helps build our compassionate community.

At Gigamind, we celebrated Christmas and Art Creation Day with vibrant collaboration. P6 students, supported by our parent volunteers, led their houses in painting wooden boards. Our community enjoyed a festive buffet and wonderful performances. By blending faith and creativity, we nurtured every child’s potential, creating a lively atmosphere that reflects our mission to develop well-rounded and confident individuals.

Inquiry and Practice at Kadoorie Farm
On a sunny day, P5 students visited Kadoorie Farm to explore nature using their five senses. From smelling fragrant leaves to identifying textures, they engaged in immersive, inquiry-based learning. They also potted seedlings and visited rescued animals, fostering empathy and environmental stewardship. This outdoor excursion perfectly aligns with our mission to nurture well-rounded individuals through lively experiences, teaching students to deeply respect and protect our precious natural world.
